Normally, my nursing time with Hawthorne is spent either reading a book, or catching up on Instagram or blog reading on the iPad. It’s a relatively new thing, having a tablet. Up until 3 months ago, we’d never owned one. It was basically like living in the stone ages, I suppose, these days. Then I began doodling with my finger on the Sketchbook app a bit, which is pretty tedious when my dominant arm is trapped under a nursing baby who only nurses on that side. But I’ve been having so much fun anyway, that it’s become kind of a “thing” this week.
My husband brought home this stylus pen that was given to him at work, which is actually a cheap pen that has a rubber ball you can use when the pen tip is retracted. It’s not super responsive, and I’m kind of terrified that I’ll accidentally pop the pen out while scribbling all over the face of my beloved iPad, but it’s still a lot better than finger painting.
It seems I like to draw large headed children in weird animal hats. Do you have any default doodles? Maybe I’ll try a mountain next.
Someplace for my monster to live.
I’ve got two projects that need to be blogged, but as there’s no deadline for somebody else, they’re stuck in indefinite limbo like several other things I couldn’t bring myself to photograph and write about. Lol. Oops.
