First up, I have my little Peach! She’s got a modified Bimaa (the first go round came out way too big in some places on my petite girl, so I picked the whole thing apart and reshaped it. Now it’s great!) I pieced together little strips of interfaced fabric in different shades to make her a gold coin patch, and the oversized hood looks like Princess hair to me. Hahaha.
I used some cotton and steel gold dots in a peach shade because….I mean just look at it! So perfect. The skirt is one of my favorite patterns, the swingset skirt by oliver and s. It ends in a size 5 though, so I think I’ll be lengthening it in the future. Clover is long and skinny and I’m pretty sure I can make it work for a little while longer.
I’m really loving how this outfit came out. It pleases Clover and pleases me, which is a rare confluence of pleasure…..and I think it evokes Peach without being costumey.
At first I was just going to sew Clover’s outfit, but then I saw this green knit in my stash and just had to make something for my little photobomber.
He’s yoshi! Seriously. So cute. I used the Rowan tee as a base and then added a bunch of stuff to it. He loves wearing his shirt too. Of course he has no idea who or what a yoshi is, and he’s never seen any Mario action, but I think a hooded tee with spikes and eyes is universally liked by little boys.
Mister handsome sauce here says to go check out the other pictures at CraftingCon. Have a good monday, everyone! (I’m joking. everyone knows that mondays are terrible. heh)
